Hi! My name’s Ryan Matson. I am an Arizona resident since 2009, transplanted from Portland, Oregon, in an effort to live a more sustainable and creative lifestyle. Now, I am a non-profit president and site manager at Eliphante in (uni)Cornville, where I reside with my cat and two goats.

The word Outerference is a handle/concept I coined in the early 2000’s, when I worked as a freelance programmer after working at a development and design firm. I thought of it in contrast to the word Interference, which in its nature, is destructive feedback. As a technical consultant on many fronts, I consider Outerference to be defined as constructive feedback. I exemplify this concept through meeting with clients, working with their ideas, and offering them a myriad of options to help them meet their goals.

My services today include technical consultation for: permaculture landscape management and stormwater assessment; business branding and graphic development; and web design, development and custom programming.

On other occasions, I find myself doing creative and specialized construction projects, and small customized renovations for friends and personally.

You can contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to set up your own consultation.
